Israel is the only democratic state in the middle-east. Women have the vote and are not treated as merely sexual objects. Still, Israel is not perfect but next to the surrounding countries, it is. When groups like Hamas shoot rockets solely on civilian targets, people blame Israel for defending its citizens and not the groups that continue to spread violence. When Israel was created, it wanted to give Palestinians their own territory. They refused and today they claim that their land was stolen from them, land which was a desert before the jews arrived.
