"I was just watching Ranan Arafat's Heart breaking video. It brought me to tears. Words can't actually describe how I feel right now. Question like What did she do? Why Her? How come ? are even harder to answer.
A while ago my nephews ages 3 and 4 were at our place. They spent the day singing a song called Baba Jably Baloon " My Dad bought me a balloon"; A popular song sung by children Ranan's age. Questions like did Ranan sing it the same way my nephews sing it. When they reach the part" Ya Aeeny Ya Aeeny" they would point their fingers to their eyes and shake their heads side ways, or did she mumble on the lyrics of the song pretending to know all the words like my 3 year old nephew does . Did she have trouble with the letters F and K. My Nephew calls me Asnan ( Meaning Teeth in Arabic ) instead of Afnan. Been trying to teach her how to pronounce the letter F so my name wouldn't sound that ridiculous when she says it, but eventually I fail eve
ry time!
My 4 year old nephew is obsessed with lipstick ( Rooj). You would find her secretly taking every kind of lipstick she finds in front of her, and when she gets caught she would give me that innocent look, and say Amana hoteelee rooj ( I want to put some lipstick on please!). Was Ranan obsessed with lipstick to? If yes, Did she steal every kind of lipstick she saw in front of her ?.
What I am wondering now did she get Murdered for not knowing how to pronounce the letters F and K? If so then I promise to spend the whole day teaching my 3 year old nephew how to get the F right to pronounce my name as it is AFNAN. But what if she got murdered for singing that song? Maybe that song carries a curse or something! I better teach my nephews another song then. How about the lipstick stealing? I know stealing is forbidden, but getting murdered for stealing lipstick is just something I never heard of before, but incase there is a law that bans children from stealing lipstick than I better punish her before the Murdering part takes place !
A lot of question are running through my head right now. Ranan is as innocent as my 3 and 4 year old nephews. She didn't deserve to get burned to aches. No child deserves to die that way or any other way." -
